At Storwick Dermatology we offer facial mole removal. A referral is required for any facial mole removals. Once the decision has been made to undergo the mole removal procedure, a local anesthetic is injected to numb the area. The mole will then be removed using the Erbium YAG Laser.
Tips to help your skin heal well after facial mole removal:
- Do NOT pick any scab that occurs. Most of the time this will fall off on its own
- You may experience tenderness or itchiness as the area heals. To help with this, you can apply some petroleum jelly over the area if need be
- Cleanse the area as you normally would. Avoid harsh exfoliants or too much friction over the treated area
